PARKING CHANGES AT MON GROUND
Attention All Competition Affiliates:
PLEASE ENSURE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IS PASSED ON TO ALL PLAYERS, TEAM OFFICIALS AND SPECTATORS
Hockey Victoria has been advised by Monash Uni Sport that there are to be permanent changes to the parking situation at the hockey ground at Monash Clayton Campus.
The existing parking areas adjacent to the hockey ground will be closed in preparation for construction works and according to the advice from Monash, the changes may be permanent. Monash are unable to confirm at this stage whether additional parking is to be developed to replace that which is lost.
Although not confirmed, it is likely that the carpark will be closed this week, meaning that parking alongside the hockey ground will not be available for the coming weekend 26-27 June – Round 10. There is alternative parking to the south of the tennis courts (small area) and to the south west on the other side of East Ring Road.
Please see attachment for diagram of the area to be closed off.

Issues surrounding umpire payments

Hi All,
This email states the conditions of umpire payments.
It was also sent out to all competition affiliates as well.
HV has received reports that some clubs and/or are confused about their obligation of umpires payment particularly in cases where only one HV umpire officiates at a match. Having only one officially rostered umpire attend a match could be due to the fact that only one umpire had been rostered by HV to the game, or could be as a result of one of the two HV rostered umpires failing to attend the match.
The following text should explain the payment requirements in these different situations. Please ensure that this is passed on to all team managers and captains.
HV Winter Season - Umpire ReimbursementOnly Hockey Victoria Officiating Committee rostered umpires are entitled to reimbursement. Umpire payments should be made prior to the start of the match but no later than at the time the umpire is required to sign the match report and shall be made in cash (notes) contained in a sealed envelope. Cheques and coins are not acceptable.
1. If there are two HV rostered umpires appointed to the match the total cost of both HV rostered umpires is to be shared equally by both competing teams.
2. If there is only one HV rostered umpire appointed to the match (or if only one of the two rostered umpires turns up for the match) then the home team should supply the second umpire. The cost of the HV Rostered umpire should be shared between the two competing teams, and the supply (and any optional cost) for the club supplied umpire is the responsibility of the home team, unless an agreement to share the cost of both umpires has been made between the two competing teams prior to the start of the match.
3. If there are no HV rostered umpires for a match then each competing team should supply one umpire. The supply (and any optional cost) for their own club supplied umpire is the responsibility of that club’s competing team.
The above information is also available on the HV website at the following link (umpire roster page):
