Preseason Junior Hockey Tournament

Dear all,

Following the success of the Inaugural Preseason Junior Hockey Tournament, Frankston Hockey Club is inviting all clubs to join us in 2012.
Please keep this date free and write this date into your calendars. More details will be forwarded and posted on Hockey Victoria’s and our club website.

FREE HOCKEY COACHING IS BACK.

Frankston Stingrays Hockey Clubs successful free hockey coaching program is running again this November. It’s the perfect introduction to our Olympic sport with experienced coaches in a safe controlled and friendly environment.

Start Date is the Friday 11 November and then every Friday through to the 2nd December

Under 9 from 6pm to 7 pm and 9 and over 7pm to 8pm

Venue is the Peninsula Hockey Centre Monash University
Frankston (off Bloom St) Melways Ref: 102 F4

All equipment is provided. Just bring runners, lots of enthusiasm and be ready for a good time.

This year it is bigger and better than ever before as the coaching is run in conjunction with the Hockey Australia National Hook in 2 Hockey campaign.

Result: Frankston Under 9J where defeated by Southern United B

Goals: Frankston 1 Dandenong 4
This week the under9J team run on with Cole as their captian, Tara deffended well and recieved BOG. The team as a whole, with the parents as well, were reminded of how much team work and effort it takes to play and win a truely great game. Guys, as your parents, we watch you every week and we know you can do it, keep going and have fun!

Result: Frankston Under 9J defeated frankston u9P

Goals: Frankston J 4 FrankstonP 2
Tara lead the team onto the feild as captain against the other stingray under 9s. Even though it was a lovely day Emily’s(BOG) effort out shone the sun. She worked really hard and kept us in the game until the others woke up. Then in the second half the team was back to normal and everyone contributed, great work under 9 J and thanks to under 9 P for an excellent game.

Goals: Frankston 8 Dandenong 0
Well done Destiny forBOG, the team ran on with Emily as Captain and played really unselfishly, with great passing to other players to try to shoot goals!

Result: Frankston u9J Drew with Mentone R

Goals: Frankston 1 Mentone 1
Under 9J had a wonderful game against Mentone at Moorabbin, the final score showed a draw but our guys played so hard that they were winners anyway.
Josh was captain and Leyton BOG, the team missed Tara .

This week Morgandy was captain and played a fantastic game so she recieved bog as well the rest of the team, Josh, Farai, Cole Leyton Sarh, Tara , Emily and Destiny all play extremely well great game guys!!

U9J had another wonderful game, they played Casey at home and the team spririt displayed by these young people is amazing. Sarah recieved BOG and Farai was the captain for this week.

Result: Frankston defeated Greater Dandenong Warriors
Goals: Frankston 8 GDW 0
U9J played in position passed well to each other and supported each other like
a team of mature players, that parents thought they had gone to a seniors
game! Farai and Destiny both got awards and the others Josh,Sarah,Cole Morgandy
and Tara played with such heart and sportsmanship, it was an amazing effort guys
well done.
