Frankston Hockey Club Fundraiser

Ruling Clarifications as of Round 5
There seems to be much confusion over different rules, and there classification within the game. Under 21 & Open Indoor 2010 change of dates
Hockey Victoria would like to inform all clubs and affiliates that the date for the Under 21 & Open Men’s and Women’s Indoor tournaments, has been brought forward in 2010.
Club results to be publish in local newspaper
We are very luck to have scored an agreement with the Leader newspaper to have all club results published on a weekly basis into the local Frankston Leader newspaper.
Club Day
Our first club day for the season had mixed results. With our Under 11’s loosing a close game against Casey, only to be followed up by the Under 9’s that smashed the local competition in Mornington.

Chicken Howell Cup
Saturday week (19/06/2010) is our hosting of the 3rd annual match for the Chicken Howell Cup against Powerhouse Hockey Club. As we did last year, the cup winner will be decided over the two home and away rounds. For the first time we are having a lunch before the game with a guest speaker. Places are limited so if you are all interested get back to me ASAP.
Great week for junior hockey
What a great week for junior hockey down at Frankston with all but 2 of our sides winning, and we knew that 1 side would have to lose as we had 2 of the Under 9’s sides playing each other. We had the Under 17’s get the first points on the board for the season with a well fought out draw with Casey at home. In addition to this we have dominating displays of goal scoring by our Under 13 & 15’s both teams being able to 4 goals each.
1s Creep back into the top 4
Our State League 3 side has crawled back into the top 4 after a 4-1 win at home against WestVic. This sees the team now sitting 3-2 for the season with 3 big weeks coming up playing all the teams within the top 4.

We still need help for the 2010 season. If you would like to help out, we are looking for the following spots to be filled.
