Pennant E - 5-1 down to a very good Footscray side fielding some of last years SL2 players and had a cameo performance by ex-Australian Travis Brooks who said to me just thought I would come over for a run around after coaching his SL1 side. It is great for our young lads to play against someone of his statue and see that if you do all the basics well you can do anything. He managed to hit Stewart in the hand which required a trip to hospital and stitches so left the team with no bench.
A great string of passes finished with Jason Page slotting in a goal to have it at 1-1. The guys were 3-1 down at half-time. The Frankston boys dug deep in the 2nd half and worked hard forcing Footscray to make errors but were unrewarded, Congrats boys at working hard and holding your heads up and next week is a new week.

We would like to offer our current members a thank you for introducing new members to the club. Any existing member who introduces a new Senior member will receive a $50 club voucher and for introducing a Junior member will receive a $25 club voucher. The voucher can be used to purchase uniform or spend on the canteen. The voucher will be handed out once the current and new member has paid fees or has set up a payment plan.

FREE HOCKEY COACHING IS BACK.

Frankston Stingrays Hockey Clubs successful free hockey coaching program is running again this November. It’s the perfect introduction to our Olympic sport with experienced coaches in a safe controlled and friendly environment.

Start Date is the Friday 11 November and then every Friday through to the 2nd December

Under 9 from 6pm to 7 pm and 9 and over 7pm to 8pm

Venue is the Peninsula Hockey Centre Monash University
Frankston (off Bloom St) Melways Ref: 102 F4

All equipment is provided. Just bring runners, lots of enthusiasm and be ready for a good time.

This year it is bigger and better than ever before as the coaching is run in conjunction with the Hockey Australia National Hook in 2 Hockey campaign.

Result: Frankston Under 9J where defeated by Southern United B

Goals: Frankston 1 Dandenong 4
This week the under9J team run on with Cole as their captian, Tara deffended well and recieved BOG. The team as a whole, with the parents as well, were reminded of how much team work and effort it takes to play and win a truely great game. Guys, as your parents, we watch you every week and we know you can do it, keep going and have fun!

Goals: Frankston J 4 FrankstonP 2
Tara lead the team onto the feild as captain against the other stingray under 9s. Even though it was a lovely day Emily’s(BOG) effort out shone the sun. She worked really hard and kept us in the game until the others woke up. Then in the second half the team was back to normal and everyone contributed, great work under 9 J and thanks to under 9 P for an excellent game.

Well done Destiny forBOG, the team ran on with Emily as Captain and played really unselfishly, with great passing to other players to try to shoot goals!

Result: Frankston u9J Drew with Mentone R

Goals: Frankston 1 Mentone 1
Under 9J had a wonderful game against Mentone at Moorabbin, the final score showed a draw but our guys played so hard that they were winners anyway.
Josh was captain and Leyton BOG, the team missed Tara .

This week Morgandy was captain and played a fantastic game so she recieved bog as well the rest of the team, Josh, Farai, Cole Leyton Sarh, Tara , Emily and Destiny all play extremely well great game guys!!
